It wasn’t the only snowfall this winter, but it was certainly the most–roughly 4 to 6 inches was predicted, and the storm seemed to have met expectations.
We took a stroll around the neighborhood during the height of the snowstorm, visiting Germantown Avenue, including Kilian’s Hardware, where there was an emergency delivery of salt, and snowplows fought valiantly to clear the main road leading into and out of Chestnut Hill.
We also visited the Water Tower Recreation Center, where kids were taking advantage of the day of to sled down Typewriter Hill–so named because, if you were to look at the hill in cross section, it would resemble the profile of an old manual typewriter.
